Or if you can't attend, class kits are available to purchase. Any questions, email me and thanks for dropping by to visit! Bless ya~

"Willoughby" Scallop Box

Here's another sample of our Willoughby paper which I am loving it to use! Great colors for masculine gifts. But I wanted to show you this feminine-looking scallop box I made with this paper. (Had this been a gift for a man, I probably would have layered two different kinds of buttons instead of the flower for an embellishment and probably added some brads on the corners.) Anyhow I made this scallop box differently than Beate's instructions. I suggest you read their directions to know what I'm talking about here: To make the top scallop lid, it called for using a "five in one template" to make the circle scallop. I didn't have one so here's what I did: I cut a 4" circle and folded it in half. I then took that half and lined it up to each of the 4 sides of 4x4" square, traced it and then used this as my cutting template to make the box lid. It then called for a corner piece to complete the scallop lid. I did it differently: I punched a 3" scallop circle with our Giga scallop punch , cut it in half. I took those halves and adhered to the corners. This makes the box lid complete. Note: I scored all lines with the Scor-Pal (don't forget you can get this at half price, or anything from the catalog, with your $100 Funshop!) The edges of box were edged with Jumbo Java brown inkpad. Note: To make the top embellishment on the box I punched a green 3" circle scallop, a brown 2-1/2" circle. I layered them together and added a green felt flower from our embellishment jar collection. Love these jars...they're jam-packed with felt flowers, paper flowers, some have sliders and of course some wonderful buttons! The collection I used was "Hillary". Notice that I tucked some cream tulle and green ribbon behind the flower. Also note that I used a gold marker to make the dots on the scallop circle and side corner scallops. Here is a close up of the top and side: Hope you enjoyed this...any questions email me please. Enjoy the rest of the day!

White on Acetate

Here's an acetate card we made in my stamping class...I entitled the class "Clear Stamping" since we stamped on clear acetate, clear acrylic photo frames and I taught my "stamping with water" technique (water is clear, get it? haha!) I'll upload pictures later on this week. I thought I would use it to participate in Allison's "White Out" AFSS26 challenge so here's the card:

Purse Full of Blessings

We know that one of the greatest healing realities in life is the written Word, God's awesome Word! I made this gift for a friend of mine who was hospitalized this week. It is a cute little purse with four scripture verses to bless her. This particular stamp set "Scriptures" is from TAC's retired sets, but I sure love it and use it ALL the time. If you're interested in this stamp set, I'm sure I can find it from one of the other TAC demonstrators. Let me know. I know some of you have asked where I get my scripture stamps...mostly I use TAC's stamps. Click here to see TAC's INSPIRATIONAL selections. Click here to see their FAITHBOOKING stamp sets...check out the one entitled "Heavenly Father"...isn't it awesome?! You must see their SIGNATURE SERIES and check out "Bookoo Blessings" and "More Abundance"...you'll love that you can do so much with these! Well, enjoy the rest of your day and may it be a HAPPY one!!

Then I made teenie baby tags to put on the inside. It was very easy since this set has one sheet of these cute baby animal images. I just cut them out, layered them to cardstock and tied rick-rak to them. That's it! I think I was able to get 8 tiny tags in the tin: I then altered those tiny ribbon spools (that you can find at Michaels or Joanns) with the paper and made these adorable gift tags: You have til July 31st so go register now! Thanks for visiting.

"Willoughby" meets "Stamping With Water" Background

As I promised...I'd like to show you a sample of one of the new TAC paper collections...they are gorgeous and inexpensive... $6.95 a set! This one is "Willoughby" paper collectionV844. I used one of the backgrounds I made using my "Stamping with Water" tutorial posted below. I thought it went well with the designs on Willoughby. You can always click on pictures for a larger view. TIP: I made white dots with white pen. To make the white dots look less stark (on the scallop circle), I went over them with yellow glaze jelly pen. You can see this in the second picture. They matched my background paper a lot better too. I used the matching Willoughby ribbons B227 ($4.95)and the new "Celebration Time" T2939 stamp set which I also thought was a great match with the Willoughby paper. TIP: I tied Scrapper's Floss to the ribbon. To curl or make floss have tendrils, wind the Scrapper's Floss around paper piercer. Here are some pictures of the Willoughby paper collection to bless ya: Any questions, email me or visit my TAC online store to see more wonderful products! Thanks and have a wonderful evening!

Happy 4th of July!

"What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance" is the NLT version of Psalms 33:12. It reminds me of ALL the freedoms I have to be thankful for in life...not just today as we celebrate Independence Day, but EVERY SINGLE day!! I do thank God for our men and women in our Armed Forces, for blessing and protecting them and for taking care of their families. I have such high regard for our soldiers and am believing they'll have a blessed day especially today!! I stamped this patriotic journal a few years back and it is one of my favorite patriotic scenes. Happy 4th of July! God bless!!
