Tutorial: Snowman Soup

Greetings!

I'm sure you've all seen these "SNOWMAN SOUP" cocoa mix gift sets during the holidays, right?   Well, I finally decided to make some and here's what mine look like:

I got the saying from my friend Cathy but you can find this and other versions on the internet.  I assembled mine differently too.  Here's what I did and what you can make for yourself to give out as quick & cute gifts:

Snowman Soup Gift Holder:
-cut piece of patterned cardstock at 5x12"
-score the 12" side at  5-1/2 and 6-1/2" & crease foldlines
-insert cello bag with cocoa mix goodies (see below)
and staple to inside of cardstock.
-punch a 1/4" hole at top, thread ribbon, then thread snowman soup "poem" to it.

Cocoa Mix Ingredients:
-packet of instant cocoa mix
-4 hershey's chocolate kisses
-baggie of marshmallows
-pepper stick or candy cane

Snowman Soup POEM:
-type poem below
-cut out poem and adhere to red cardstock that is 1/4" bigger
-punch 1/4" hole to center top
-thread thru ribbon and then snowman soup holder

Snowman Soup version #1:
So you have been good this year,

Always glad to hear it.
With freezing weather drawing near,
you’ll need to warm the spirit.
Now here’s a little “Snowman Soup”
complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water and sip it slow,
it’s sure to do the trick!

Snowman Soup version #2 found on internet:
When the weather outside if frightful,
hot chocolate can be so delightful.
May it warm your spirit and your soul.
Let it snow. Let it snow.  Let it snow!

When you feel a chill or brrrr,
use the candy cane to stir.
Add hot water and sip it slow.
Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow!

So there you have SNOWMAN SOUP!!  Enjoy making these easy gifts from the heart!

Thanks for your time!
