Stamp/Scrap Class: Shrink Art, Canvas Art, Cricut Layered Labels

Hi friends!  I wanted to share some pictures of our last February Stamp/Scrap class.  We had so much fun designing and learning about shrink plastic art....we made some earrings, embellishments,  jewelry pins, etc.  With alcohol inks we made a mini canvas piece of art and we had fun with all-occasion Cricut layered labels.  We have plenty of inspiration to fill our 2-1/2 hour classes! I've included some of the students' work here too.  Our next class is scheduled for March 12th.  If you're local, or will be in the area, we would love to have you join us!! On the left hand side of blog is where you will find the class schedule.  Thanks for dropping in.  Believing these pictures will inspire you!

Beads for Shaker Cards

Hello!  I wanted to make a "Shaker" card and wanted to get some "micro" beads to use.  I found this place, Penny Wise Arts, where they have gazillion kinds of beads!  It's really a neat place and they are oh SO helpful.  They made a small error on my order but corrected it quickly and they sent me some additional stuff to try out!  Alot of neat stuff to try out.  Wow! You don't find that a whole lot any more, right?  Anyhow, Suzanne is the one who took care of me.  She sent me this sample to help me with the use of her free templates that she has on her website (sorry about the picture not being so clear):

Here's my first try...not too bad but I lost my beads cuz I didn't tape them in that well! hehe!

Here's one I did with regular seed beads I had at home:

This one we did at one of my stamp/scrap classes....goodness, aren't we getting confident now with the beads? hehe.
On this one I really like the beads...these are some of the beads that were sent to me...they're iridescent...they look like little globes of color...I like em!  I'm gonna have to order more of these beads:
Well, as you can see I enjoyed making shaker cards and want to use more of the templates available at Suzanne's place.  Hope you enjoyed this... just wanted to share with you about Suzanne and her FUN website, Penny Wise Arts!  Go over and check it out....you'll definitely enjoy it. . . .please tell her I said hello!

Have a glorious day!

Been working on these....

Hi there! Enjoying this hot and HUMID weather? I'm just thankful it's summer! I do so enjoy the heat though. Here's what I've been up to, as far as handmade items...these pictures are either projects of my Stamp/Scrap Class or items I've designed for my Etsy Shoppe which you can find here. Tell me what you think and thanks for spending some of your time with me!! I so love the vintage trimmings and tatting I found for this one: What great reminders of our God's greatness: The cardfront is a "beeswax" technique. Love, again, the vintage cloth and lace at the corner of this card: Birdhouses assembled using a "Beeswax" technique: Love this Proverb, "Be careful how you think, your life is shaped by your thoughts." This is the Good News Bible version of Proverbs 4:23. Don't you just love it?

Stamp/Scrap Class - "Rustic Chic"

I just wanted to show you some photos of last month's Stamp/Scrap Class. It was so fun! We made a 3-piece "Rustic Chic" stationery set and a scrapbook page. The stationey set included an envelope/pen holder, a CD calendar, a "things to do" binder clip. Then we designed a scrapbook page using a stipple brush and clear embossing technique. I do have a few class kits available from this class if interested. Here are the photos: My Stamp/Scrap Class schedule is located over there on the right hand side of my blog. The next class is scheduled for Saturday, March 14. If you are local, would love to have you join in the fun with us! Thanks again for visiting. Have a tremendously wonderful weekend!

You may purchase my cards and artwork
