Using up some "scraps". Making some "girlie" embellishments for scrapbooking:

Scor-Pal Card Box

I participated in a Scor-Pal challenge. For newbies, Scor-Pal is the wonderful "scoring" tool used to "score" lines on your cards, boxes, etc. You must visit their website for "filled to overflowing" free projects! Don't FORGET: you can get your Scor-Pal at half price with your $100 TAC funshop/order!! Quite a value, don't you think? Email me for more info on this. Okay, getting back to the challenge, this gift box holds four matching greeting cards. I used Tutti Fruitti paper collection. Notice how I cut out flowers from the paper to use as the center embellishments...I love this paper! I also used Audrey buttons from our button collection...you gotta click on buttons to see how cute the collections is! Since this is an "all occasion" gift card set, the Ordinary Greetings stamp set is PERFECT for this. I used Cuttlebug embossing folders for the blue bottom, the center banner and scallop circle on box. Using DP Tags/Embellishments as Photo Frames

Here's a quick and simple 8"x8" page I made with the tags/embellishments from the "Hemingway" paper collection. Lots of times we don't use up all the tags and here's one way to put them to use. Use them as mini photo frames for a quick scrapbook layout. I used "F is for Family" hostess stamp set for the words. These were some of the tags I still had left over after I made the cards in the "Tutorial-make the use of paper stretch" post and picture slide. (If you scroll down to that post you can see how it complements this post.) So you see these punch-out tags/embellishments are very versatile - nothing goes to waste here and they go a looooong way! Sorry for the bad picture scan, but you get the idea of using tags as photo frames.

See Me on "Take 3"

Well, not me but my scrapbook page! Click "Take 3" which is part of TAC's Creative Corner. Take 3 is where three designers use the same photo and TAC materials and then allowed to design a project their own way. I had lots of fun using the "Hip Hop" paper collection since I was able to use at least 3 sheets on my scrapbook page layout for "IZEK." On one of the sheets I cut out the frogs and used them as embellishments! The paper is very versatile. To make the frogs look more dimensional, I took the "CLEAR" pen from the Glaze Gelly Pen set and coated the frogs with it. Gave it a really neat look. I use the Clear Glaze pens ALOT for a quick 3-D look!! In fact, I'll be posting here soon on how to make your own embellishments out of chipboard. Come back & see me! thanks again.

Medallion Cards

These medallions are from a retired set but you could use the current ones in our catalog - The Mini Medallions or the Grand Medallions to make these cards. Used Landscape Green Palette inkpad. Leave a comment if you have any questions on these.
