Happy first day of SPRING! I love it even though I saw a few snow flakes floating around this morning!! Since it's officially spring time, it's time to start stamping spring stuff, right? In our new TAC Serendipity magalogue you can view all the new and exciting items that TAC has available for us. You will be SO delighted when you see Mabelle Ramirez-Ortiz's new stamps sets...go take a peek, I'll wait for you! The five stamp sets starting with Garden Joy are her designs. There now don't you agree with me that her stamp sets are beautiful? I just LOVE her work! Here is a great one for spring..... "Garden Joy":

For the actual tag, I took a piece of white paper and I adhered some of the Whimsey paper to the left side of the tag. On the right side of the white paper I just swiped some Chartreuse Palette inkpad, in a left to right motion, till the white surface was covered with the green ink. Then I stamped the flower image over the green to give it a watermark effect. If you look closely (click on picture) you can see the flowers.
I used a dollar stamp I found at ? store to make an embellishment for the gift tag.
I stamped the scalloped note paper image. I then stamped & colored flowers from the "Simply Divine" stamp set along the right edge of the image...notice that I stamped the flowers "off" the edge to give it a 3-d look once it was adhered to the tag.
I stamped another flower and with this one I put Crystal Lacquer dimensional glue on top of it.... when it was dry I cut it out and with a foam Pop Dot added it to the top of one of the flowers to add further dimension. See picture below. It's nice and shiny!
To complete the tag I handdoodled the edges of the tag with a black pen and adhered the handmade embellishment to the center of tag with a foam Pop Dot. There you have my "scrappy" gift tag made from my favorite scraps of paper and ribbon! Any questions, post them here. Thanks for visiting.
